As a new blogger (this is my first ‘post’) I’ve given some thought to how to start the ‘discussion’ that I hope this blog will stimulate. Clearly, energy and related policy issues are complicated and stir strong feelings, and I might as well start with the attached piece that I wrote just before the 2008 Presidential election.  It was e-published in late November by RenewableEnergyWorld.com.  What I find interesting about this piece is that I could have written it today and not changed too many words, an indication that our country is still struggling to define an energy policy.  I will have more to say on this subject in future posts but will look forward to comments on the attached as a starting point.
